About Serge

Serge Kalloghlian is a lawyer in the Toronto office of Siskinds LLP with a focus on class proceedings. Serge has acted for plaintiffs in a wide range of matters including product liability, medical device, human rights, and securities class actions. He has appeared as counsel at all levels on Ontario’s Courts, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.

Serge’s practice is currently focused on representing investors in securities class actions and other shareholder rights litigation. Prior to joining Siskinds, Serge completed his articles in the Toronto office of a national full-service firm, and later worked as an associate at a class action boutique. Serge was counsel to the class in the prosecution and settlement of St. John’s v Steers, an action alleging breaches of fiduciary duties and Human Rights Code violations. Serge is part of the counsel team prosecuting the Labourers v Sino-Forest class action, in which a record-setting settlement of $117 million was secured with one of Sino-Forest’s auditors. He is also counsel in Silver v Imax, and has been involved in precedent-setting decisions defining the application of limitation periods under the Securities Act, as well as the manner in which parallel cross-border class actions may be settled.
