Bill 167 is moving at lightening speed. The Ontario Legislature has designated June 2 and 3 for third reading debate on the Toxics Reduction Act. Committee hearings on the Bill will take place today at the Committee on General Government. Obviously, the province was not swayed by concerns about regulatory duplication and overlap – see the Ontario Bar Association comment published here last month. Ontario businesses should start preparing for the new mass balance and reduction plan requirements.
