Polybutylene Pipe

Siskinds launched a lawsuit against 3 companies (Shell Oil, E.I. Dupont, and Hoescht Celanese Corporation) who were responsible for the defective plumbing and radiant heating system known as Polybutylene Plumbing in an effort to seek compensation for individuals throughout Canada who had Polybutylene plumbing and/or heating systems. The problems pertained to a type of piping material which could leak and cause major problems in a home’s plumbing and radiant heating systems.

Settlements have been reached with all three (3) defendants that resolves the litigation. The deadline to file a claim under the final Celanese settlement was May 11, 2012. This settlement has concluded and all claims have been paid.
