Sajjad Nematollahi is an associate lawyer at the Class Actions Department of Siskinds LLP.
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Sajjad’s practise is focused on securities and complex commercial litigation and class proceedings. Sajjad has and continues to represent the class plaintiffs before the Courts of Ontario, Alberta and Québec in several high-profile securities, privacy breach and consumer class proceedings, including:
Sajjad holds Master of Laws degrees from Harvard Law School (2010) and McGill University, Faculty of Law (2009). While at Harvard, Sajjad studied corporate and securities laws, and researched Canadian and United States laws on the issue of directors’ fiduciary duties in the context of complex transactions. At McGill, Sajjad studied international trade and dispute resolution.
Sajjad is an active member of the Iranian-Canadian community. While at law school, Sajjad was a member of the Harvard Law School Student Government, and a councilor at McGill’s Post-Graduate Students’ Society.
Sajjad is admitted to practise of law and is a member of the Bar in Ontario and New York State, and speaks English and Farsi.

August 2014, Siskinds LLP named again as the top-ranked Canadian firm in the “SCAS 50.” Siskinds ranked 16th overall in the a global ranking of the world’s 50 leading securities class action law firms, the highest ranking ever attained by a Canadian firm. It is compiled annually by Securities Class Action Services, a unit of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). Siskinds was the first Canadian firm to rank in the top 50 and has been the top Canadian firm each year since 2010.
