On November 7, 2011 Siskinds LLP commenced a class action against Reebok relating to certain statements made regarding “toning” shoes and apparel. The following Reebok brands are the subject of the litigation:
- Shoes: EasyTone, EasyTone Flip, RunTone, TrainTone, JumpTone, SimplyTone and SlimTone
- Apparel: EasyTone Capri, EasyTone Pants, Easytone Shorts, EasyTone Long Bra Top, EasyTone Sleeveless Shirt and EasyTone Short Sleeve Top
On May 7, 2012 the parties reached a proposed national settlement. A copy of the settlement agreement is available here [English][French].
On June 8, 2012 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice scheduled a motion for certification of the action as a class action and approval of the settlement agreement for July 10, 2012 at 2:30 PM at the Court House, 80 Dundas Street, London, Ontario. The Court ordered the following notice regarding that hearing:
