Dancing Ice, Ellesmere Island, Dianne Saxe, August 2006James Balog has released stunning time-lapse photos and video of the dramatic collapse of Arctic glaciers, including one block the size of 3000 Capitol Buildings in 75 minutes. This is yet more proof that the glaciers are shrinking far faster than predicted by the IPCC only 2 years ago. If only the world’s politicians could move as fast.

Today’s horrifying floods in Manila are exactly the sort of catastrophe that the IPCC and other scientists predicted climate change will bring. Remember how much Al Gore was derided for describing them in his slideshow? Now that even Exxon Mobil is calling for a carbon tax, why don’t we have one?
