We’ve had a wonderful response to our article about clotheslines and Ontario’s failure to use its Energy Conservation Leadership Act to wipe out clothesline restrictions in subdivision covenants and condo bylaws. (See July 12). We’ve been interviewed by CP and CTV, as well as reporters from Hamilton, Elmira, Toronto and elsewhere. Newspapers have written about the issue coast to coast, including Kingston, Edmonton, Penticton, Calgary, Cape Breton, Winnipeg, North Bay, Prince George, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Guelph, NOW and Canoe.ca! It’s also been on many radio stations such as CJAD, 940 News and Canada East, and tonight we’ll be on CTV’s The Verdict. Word is that the Premier is waiting to gauge public reaction before doing anything about the issue; hopefully, the overwhelmingly supportive reaction we have received will help move things along. As one paper put it…. the undies are blowing in the wind, yes the undies are blowing in the wind….
