A surprisingly large part of my practice involves suing engineers and other environmental consultants for their negligence and breach of contract relating to contaminated sites. For example, I am spending much of August in continued discoveries of Earth Tech (Canada), now AECOM Canada, for their alleged mishandling of a TCA contaminated site in Scarborough, Ontario. Earth Tech claimed that they had unique expertise and would remediate this contamination in situ, in six months, using, primarily, potassium permanganate.
