It’s important to remember that there is no right or wrong way—no one-size-fits-all approach—to cope with sexual abuse. What is important is that victims find the support they need in order to recover from the trauma they have experienced.
If you are a victim of sexual abuse or assault, please know that you are not alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. Below is information about resources available to survivors of sexual abuse.
Located at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario, the Regional Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Centre provides care to sexual abuse survivors. To access the centre’s services call 519-646-6100 ext. 64224 at any time, or go to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Urgent Care Centre and ask to speak to a nurse for sexual abuse.
