On December 19, 2016, a settlement agreement was announced in the class action involving Volkswagen and consumer claims related to the 2.0L diesel emissions software matter. The matter affected approximately 105,000 vehicles across Canada and generated a high level of interest when the issue was revealed in mid-2015. The settlement is subject to court approval, but is viewed as a significant step forward in securing a resolution of the matter for affected vehicle owners. Siskinds LLP is lead co-counsel in the class action. Click here to read the full media release.
