Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) that is facilitated by a neutral third party. Mediation can be a very cost-effective way of handling a dispute that might otherwise need to be decided through more expensive court proceedings. Acting as a facilitator, a mediator helps clarify issues, identifies differences and negotiates a resolution that works for all parties. A mediator doesn't provide legal advice or recommend the terms of an agreement. Instead, a mediator assists those in conflict to reach an agreement.

We handle a wide range of mediation issues, including matters related to business law, construction law, wills and estates, personal injury, family law, and employment and labour.

Just completed working with Partner Matt Wilson on the bylaws for our condo board. Matt was extremely helpful, steered us in the direction we needed and patiently answered all of the many questions that we had. He willingly offered his expertise on best practices to ensure we achieved the participation of our homeowners that this important matter required. Matt is now my ‘go-to ‘ specialist for all matters of Real Estate Law! Thank you Matt. -C.O

I appreciate Andrea for her understanding of the system and law. Andrea [Cooley] has been excellent to work with. - J.M.

I cannot say enough good things about Marie Tukara and Kathy Liounis at Siskinds. They have been so patient, accommodating and helpful, assisting with making a difficult process less so. I have recommended them to others already! -R.G
