James is an associate lawyer in the commercial litigation group. James has a broad commercial litigation practice including franchise disputes, breach of contract, shareholder remedies, construction matters, cyber security, and libel and slander.
James has courtroom experience. He has assisted at and appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and administrative tribunals. He has also conducted private arbitrations. James is adept at virtual litigation and has conducted discoveries and Court hearings through virtual methods.
James completed his BA (hons) from Western University and JD from Dalhousie University. While at law school, James competed nationally at the Matthews, Dinsdale & Clark National Labour Arbitration Moot. James was a summer student and volunteer throughout law school at the Halifax Refugee Clinic.
