We’ve had an extraordinary few months, bringing eight long-running matters to a successful conclusion. As plaintiffs’ counsel, we settled several contaminated land lawsuits since May, obtaining millions of dollars in compensation for our clients. These amounts were up to twice what a judge thought we could get at trial.
As defendants’ counsel, we persuaded the plaintiffs in a five year old toxic tort case to finally drop their claims. And as defence counsel, we settled four pollution prosecutions this summer: our clients got into compliance and were sentenced to very modest fines, with ample time to pay.
We are delighted to have been able to produce such excellent results for so many deserving clients, all in a single summer.
