Siskinds and the YMCA of Western Ontario (YMCAWO) have teamed up for the first annual Jordan’s Run the Runway 5k Race, that will take place September 12th, 2014.
The uniqueness of this race is something that Londoners have never seen before. Participants will begin their run or walk at the Diamond Aircraft runway and proceed through London International Airport runways before concluding back at Diamond Aircraft with a reception to follow. Race proceeds will go towards the YMCA Strong Kids campaign, which supports YMCA programs and services, such as YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth.
Jordan Strickland (son of Paul and Janice, and brother of Daniel) is Siskinds inspiration to host this event that will benefit the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth (CQE). Jordan was an integral member of the YMCAWO as a long time camper, volunteer staff member and friend to the CQE community. Unfortunately Jordan lost his life in February of 2014. He would love to know that this event will support the YMCA Strong Kids campaign, giving kids in his community the opportunity to experience summer camp.
