Canadians who took Alysena 21 or Alysena 28 birth control pills between February 2017 and October 2019 may be eligible for compensation for unplanned pregnancies and psychological harms as a result of defective birth control pills.
In 2018, Health Canada issued a series of advisories and a recall concerning Alysena birth control pills, warning Canadians that all lots of both Alysena 21 or Alysena 28 may have contained chipped pills, which could reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptives in preventing pregnancy.
