Earlier this year, Stan Berger and I published our first annual Environmental Law, Year in Review, sold by Canada Law Book. One of the chapters has now been cited (and quoted) in a brief filed with the United States Supreme Court! The chapter, Beyond Trail Smelter: Assessing the Changes in International Environmental Law, was written by Risa Schwartz and John Turchin. It was cited by the Government of British Columbia in its brief for the certiorari petition currently before the US Supreme Court in the important case Pakootas v. Teck Cominco. Needless to say, all involved are very gratified.
