This class action alleges that the Defendants unlawfully conspired to fix, increase, and/or maintain prices in the market for Polyester Polyols.
The Plaintiff alleges that from at least February 1998 to December 2002, the Defendants and senior executive of the corporate defendants participated in illegal and secretive meetings and made arrangements relating to price targets, specific price increases, and market share divisions for Polyester Polyols.
Polyester Polyols are a chemical used in the manufacture of polyurethanes. Polyurethanes are a versatile family of polymers and are often used with soft rubbery polymers to make block copolymers, which possess properties of thermoplastic elastomers.
Settlements have been reached with the defendants that resolves the litigation. The deadline to file a claim under the settlements was October 25, 2007. This settlement has concluded and all claims have been paid.
