Kenora Fishing Resort And Owner Fined $10,000 For Failing To Meet Sewage Approval Requirements

Resort owner Edward Henn and 2192314 Ontario Inc. pleaded guilty to one offence each under the Ontario Water Resources Act and were fined a total of $10,000. The conviction resulted when Mr. Henn and his company failed to submit a performance report for Tetu Island Lodge, contrary to the Environmental Protection Act.

School Board Fined $10,000 For Ontario Water Resources Act Violation

Hastings and Prince Edward School Board pleaded guilty to one offence and was fined $10,000 for non-compliance with an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) due to a failure to prepare an annual report, contrary to the Ontario Water Resources Act.

Trailer Park Fined $30,000 For Failing To Notify Of Spill

Bay Meadows Park Inc. and David M. Harrington pleaded guilty to one offence each and were fined a total of $30,000 for failing to report a liquid sewage spill, contrary to the Environmental Protection Act (EPA).

Waste Transfer Business and Former Owner fined $130,000 Total For Non-Compliance with a Ministry Approval

Scott Environmental Group Limited (SEG) and the company’s Sole Owner and Director at the time of the violation, George Scott, were fined a total of $130,000 for an offence related to non-compliance with an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA), resulting from the company storing liquid industrial and hazardous waste containers for more than 180 days, contrary to the Environmental Protection Act.
