About Sajjad

Sajjad Nematollahi is an associate lawyer at the Class Actions Department of Siskinds LLP. Based in Toronto, Sajjad’s practise is focused on securities and complex commercial litigation. He has represented investors in Canadian and cross-border class proceedings, including Sino-Forest Securities Litigation, Poseidon Concepts Securities Litigation, Eastern Platinum Securities Litigation and easyhome Securities Litigation.

Sajjad holds Master of Laws degrees from Harvard Law School (2010) and McGill University, Faculty of Law (2009). He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2007 from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran, with high honours. While at Harvard, Sajjad focused on studying corporate and securities laws, and researched Canadian and United States laws on the issue of directors’ fiduciary duties in the context of complex transactions. At McGill, Sajjad’s studies were focused on international trade and dispute resolution.

Sajjad is an active member of the Iranian-Canadian community. While at law school, Sajjad was a member of the Harvard Law School Student Government, and a councilor at McGill’s Post-Graduate Students’ Society. Sajjad is admitted to practice of law in Ontario and New York State, and speaks English and Farsi.
