Large Business of the Year - 2004

A record crowd of 1,000 people at the London Convention Centre witnessed Siskinds win the London Chamber of Commerce - 2004 Large Business of the Year Award. Paul Strickland, senior partner with the firm, was delighted to accept the award on behalf of Siskinds. This is the first time the Chamber’s top award has ever gone to a law firm. With such great competition, this is a great achievement for Siskinds.

The London Chamber of Commerce, Business Achievement Award program was initiated in 1984 and is designed to recognize and applaud truly outstanding business organizations within the London area.

For the purposes of the Award, a large business is defined as one with over 50 employees. Nominees are solicited throughout the year. To be eligible, a company must have been operating for at least 3 years in the private sector. Nominees are judged on the following criteria:

  • Business Achievements
  • Management/Employee Relations
  • Innovations in Product/Service/Technology
  • Employee Training
  • Contribution to Employment
  • Commitment to Community

Participating in the Business Achievement Award program created an opportunity to remember and express the history of Siskinds, assess the challenges and celebrate our achievements. Most importantly, it provides recognition to the contributions of the many people who make it all work.

Winning the 2004 London Chamber of Commerce, Business Achievement Award is an achievement that all Siskinds staff can point to with pride. The positive recognition of our peers puts all of our past accomplishments and efforts into perspective. It provides clear confirmation that we are on the right track, as well as the impetus to continue to look for ways to improve and be innovative in the services we provide.

Congratulations Everyone!
