The Siskinds Corporate & Commercial Litigation Group is active in supporting the firm's Municipal Law Group in prosecuting and defending commercial disputes involving municipal authorities. The Siskinds Corporate & Commercial Litigation Group brings a client-centered and service-oriented approach which seeks to achieve timely and practical results in a cost-effective manner for our municipal and private sector clients. Our experience in this field has also made our group sensitive to the unique public interest aspects of the resolution of disputes involving municipalities.
Some of the municipal litigation issues in which the Siskinds Corporate & Commercial Litigation Group has been involved include:
- Providing advice on tendering and contract formation issues for municipal construction projects and procurement
- Claims related to municipal service providers, including delay, payment, performance deficiencies, defect and insurance issues
- Environmental claims
- Mediation and arbitration of disputes involving parties contracting with municipalities
