Wayne was born in Cambridge (Galt), Ontario and attended Southwood Secondary School where he graduated with honours as an Ontario Scholar and also had an accomplished career in track and field, music and theatre studies. He then went on to obtain an Honours B.A. in French studies at the University of Western Ontario, where he excelled as a Dean's Honour Roll student.

Wayne studied law at the University of Ottawa and in 1977, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was awarded the University Silver medal for 2nd highest cumulative scholastic average throughout his 3 year law school tenure, as well as the prestigious Carswell Company award for highest marks in Contract Law studies at the University of Ottawa.

After articling at Ivey & Dowler, Wayne joined the firm in 1977 and has developed broad based expertise in Commercial Litigation, with an emphasis in Creditors Rights and Financial Institution based enforcement work as well as Commercial and Residential Real Estate.

As a partner at Siskinds, Wayne has served on various marketing committees and presently is partner in charge of Siskinds Expedited Realty Services Department and has been instrumental in the development and application of Title Insurance related products at Siskinds.

He is an active competitive curler and has devoted spare time to many worthwhile fundraising causes, including the Children's Miracle Network Telethon.
