Henry graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1974 and was called to the Bar in 1976. Since that time he has practiced in London becoming in 1983 one of the founding partners of Berg Kennedy Cleaver Broad LLP which merged with Siskinds, July 1, 2002. Henry`s practice is focused primarily on assisting owner-managed businesses and professionals. He views his role as being part of his client's team. Accessibility and prompt service are hallmarks of his approach to the practice of law.
Henry has been named to the 2012 Best Lawyers in Canada List for Corporate Law.
While Henry acts as a "quarterback" for a wide range of business client issues, his focus is in the following areas:
- transactions (including buying and selling businesses)
- commercial financing - secured lending
- tax and business motivated corporate restructuring and reorganizations
- shareholder agreements and shareholder dispute resolution
- commercial leasing
- succession and inter-generational planning
- estate planning, wealth planning and wealth transfers
- advising professionals on incorporation and organization of professional practices
Henry works with a dedicated team of professionals to ensure that the resources are always available to provide a timely response to the client's needs.
Henry participated in teaching (Business Law, Tax and Professional Development) at the Bar Admission Course for over 20 years. He also dedicates considerable time to keeping abreast of new developments affecting the owner-managed business so that he can provide proactive advice to his clients.
Henry is actively involved in the community of London, including involvement with several charitable, civic and religious organizations. Henry is married to Kathy and they have two grown children.
